1. Useful Definitions
  • Forum: a designated area focusing on questions and answers over a specific medical specialty

  • Q&A set: a set of messages in a specific forum that begin with a question that a visitor to the Bulletin Board has posted and may include any other messages in reply to that question from Board Certified Physicians or visitors to the site.

  • Archive: each forum has an archive of Q&A sets that have been posted at much earlier dates than the Q&A sets found in the current forum area.

    2. Icons

       this icon represents a forum or any question posted on a forum's main page.

      pressing this button will bring up a form that will allow you to post a question to the forum your are currently in.

      represents a message that a Board Certified Physician has posted

      represents a message that a visitor to the Bulletin Board has posted (only take medical advice posted by a Board Certified Physician)


      allows you to reply to any message posted in a Q&A set.

      appearing under a message, allows you to e-mail whomever posted the message

      lets you jump back to the top of a Q&A set's Table of Contents

    4. Using the Bulletin Board
    Posting a question:
    You can start a new Q&A set by clicking on the "Post a Question" button.
    Replying to an existing message:
    You can reply to any given message by clicking on the REPLY icon directly below the message you are replying to. If you click on "Include Original Message on Reply" check box, the original message will be included in your POST REPLY form.
